When Persona 4 Arena Ultimax was announced for a Playstation 4 reissue, many fans of fighting games wanted the answer to one question: Will it have a netcode of restoration? For those who may not know it, the restoration is about the most reliable netcode form for combatants, allowing a fluid online game. The return back is a key topic for years, but the conversation exploded when Guilty Gear Strive is out, with a fantastic netcode back back – maybe the best we’ve ever seen.
Strive to establish the norm, and now, every new combat game will be the subject of many criticism if it does not adopt the restoration. It was initially the case with Persona 4 Arena Ultimax, which he was confirmed that he had no return back during his announcement. Fortunately, Atlus and Arc System Works received the memo, and they now say that the reissue of the PS4 will be updated with the restoration netcode this summer.
With the launch of Ultimax later this month, this means that the players will have to withstand a netcode lower than average for at least a few months – but at least the back coming back.
